If
you're concerned - if you're battling - or if you're just interested
- this LifeKit will give you a courageous life story, fresh insight
about Recovery, and a wealth of references and links to other
resources in the field of addiction and dependence.
"Consider how
believing in never-ending recovery and perpetual powerlessness
limits you and others. Dare to imagine how accepting full recovery
and true empowerment might be. Allow your mind to soar as you
picture how this would affect not only you, but others."
- Anne Wayman,
author of "Powerfully Recovered," an e-book incorporated
into this lifekit.
Anne contends that
two "myths," unintended by the founders of the 12 Step
AA movement, have arisen. These two myths say that 12-steppers:
- are deemed to be
in a state of "never-ending recovery"
- are warned that
they will be "perpetually powerless" against the temptation
to abuse alcohol.
With its pioneering
and positive message, plus numerous references to sources in the
12-Step AA movement, Anne's booklet is a must-read for anyone
concerned with drugs or whose life has been changed by alcohol
or drugs.

About
the Author
Narcosis was a daily
drug user and intermittently heavy drinker for 25 years. He had
also been heroin addict since 1983. Narcosis wrote his original
story at the request of his doctor, "...that young people might
be deterred from confusing stupid risk-taking with sanctified rebelliousness..."
An edited version of the story, "Narcosis' Story," retaining
all the gut-wrenching revelations of the original, is presented
in this booklet.
